Are you excited about the baby shower that you’re planning for the mommy and daddy to be? Baby showers are a great opportunity to bring family and friends together and bond.
In order to make sure that your party is a lot of fun, plan some hilarious baby shower games. In this article I’ll give you instructions for 5 funny baby shower games that will be sure to get everyone laughing and having a great time.
1 – Milk Drinking Contest
Each guest will get a baby bottle filled with milk. When the hostess says ‘go’ everyone needs to suck the milk from the bottle. The first guest to finish all of the milk in the bottle wins the game. Since this game is a bit messy, it’s best to play it outside along with other outdoor baby shower games.
2- Guess the Baby Song
For this game, you’ll need to find all kinds of songs that have the word ‘baby’ in the title and then write down the name of all of the songs creating a list. When it’s time to play, the hostess will hum the melody of the song and guests will have to shout out the title of the song. They don’t need to know the artist who recorded it, just the name of the song. Each time a guest gets a song correct, he or she receives a token. The guest with the most correct songs wins the grand prize.
3- Guess What Mommy was Wearing
The hostess will take the mommy to be into another room and pin several different baby items and outfits onto her dress with safety pins. Once all of the baby items are pinned on, she will come out and guests get to look at her for exactly one minute. Then she must leave the room and when the hostess says ‘go’ guests will have 2 minutes to write down all of the items that they can remember on their sheet of paper. When the 2 minutes are up, they will trade their sheets and correct them. The guest with the most amount of items correct wins the game.
4- Win Lose or Draw
Make a list with 15 baby related items. Someone gets picked out as the person who will be drawing. He or she will see the name of the object and start drawing it on a white board or large sheet of paper. Guests will shout out what they think is being drawn. The person who shouts the right answer first receives a token. (Tokens can be toy pacifiers, candy, or some othe baby related item.) The person who guesses the most items correctly wins the game. Guys love competitions so you can play this game along with other couples baby shower games if your baby shower is coed.
5- Match the Celebrity Baby
This game requires a bit of planning beforehand. Dig out your magazines and newspapers or surf the internet to print out pictures of celebrities and their babies. Have 2 different clotheslines. On one clothesline you can pin up the pictures of the parents and number them 1 to 10. The other clothesline can have pictures of their babies. Use the alphabet to identify them. Each guest will get a sheet of paper and a pen and write down which baby (letter) goes with which celebrity (numbers). The guest that gets the most matches correct wins the game. Make sure to have more prizes if for some reason there’s a tie.
